Cape Mudge Community Garden
The Cape Mudge Community Garden is a project geared towards inspiring the youth to cultivate and culminate their own food journey as they learn from the elders who hold knowledge to pass down to them.
This garden is a space for new ideas and beginnings and for all generations to make their mark on the land we are trying to coax into being bountiful again. We have Quadra ICAN and ISPARC as the back bone of this garden glow-up, but we are hoping that as it flourishes, more community members will come out and get their hands dirty… because as the saying goes, “Many hands make light work.”
With a little bit of light, water and dirt we can grow more than just food; we can grow connections fostered in the heart of shared knowledge.
Many thanks to all, past, present and future, including our partners: the We Wai Kai nation, Quadra Garden club and ICAN. Funding has been generously provided by ISPARC, Coastal Community Credit Union and BC Hydro.
